I love making these little, abstract paintings of the coast. I am always trying new colour mixes and this is my favourite way of seeing how they work together. All the postcards on this listing are made with the same limited palette and will look great displayed together.
To start, I select three tubes of paint, one blue, one red, one yellow and a big pot of white. Mixing the colours together creates a whole new selection of strong colours that all work together and adding the white makes soft, subtle pastels.
These little postcards come in two sizes and are created on heavyweight water colour paper. Each one is original.
They are strong enough to stand on a shelf or you can frame them. I recommend using a wide mount which will really enhance the little painting. I get mine cut to fit standard frames from Best4frames or you can take them to a local framer.
Each hand painted postcard will be sent in a glassine bag in a card-backed envelope.
