An original abstract painting, one of a series of paintings exploring the Suffolk coast.

The circles and spirals that were drawn into the surface of the paint describe the rolling waves on Aldeburgh beach.

The palette of deep indigo blue and white make this painting almost monochrome but there are areas of neutral colour to keep the over all feeling calm. 

It would pair well with 'The Gathering Storm 2' as a set.

This artwork is 30 x 60cm and created using acrylic paint and graphite pencil on a deep cotton canvas.
